Most Pairs Of Underpants Put On In 30 Seconds (#1)
UNDERPANTS CONTROVERSY (Please help!)
Until yesterday, Sean Kelley held the URDB World Record for Most Pairs Of Underpants Put On In 30 Seconds (9). Watch his video here.
Then, out of the blue, we received two submissions that both claim to beat Kelley’s feat. Heather Leonard and Todd DeFazio both put on 12 pairs in 30 seconds. Watch their videos above, and see their record pages here and here.
As you’ll see, DeFazio uses a very questionable technique: he has all of his underpants around his legs before the record begins.
Question: Should DeFazio’s submission be accepted? Do we make them co-world record holders? Or should we deny DeFazio and make Leonard the sole record holder?

Yo, webby types! We’re in the midst of pulling together specs for a public API.
We have a ton of ideas of for potential uses – video game high score submissions, enabling record holder widgets, etc. but wanted to to reach out and see if there are features you’re dreaming of we haven’t already considered.

The legendary Opus Moreschi, holder of such records as Fastest Time To Make A ShamWow Cocktail and Most Neckties Worn At Once, wowed a packed house at last night’s World Record Appreciation Society #11 by setting a record for Most Adjectives Stuck To A Person’s Body. The unofficial count was 409 adjectives.
World Record Appreciation Society #12 will take place on Tuesday, February 16th at Joe’s Pub in NYC. Confirmed record setters include Reggie Watts and The New Yorker’s Ben Greenman.

URDB co-founders Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson backstage at The Tyra Show with Ann and Claire Recht, the world’s tallest living female twins. Corey isn’t as short as he appears - it’s just that Dan, Ann and Claire are all 6’7”.

#2: Longest Whisper Chain - Jake Bronstein
Our live World Record Appreciation Society events in New York and San Francisco created a pile of legendary records. Beyond that, they brought hundreds of strangers together and produced, for the most part, massive fun for all.
Jake Bronstein’s Longest Whisper Chain, set at our World Record Appreciation Society event in mid-July, involved 59 complete strangers collaborating in what turned out to be the most awesome wedding proposal of all-time. (Watch the video!) Congrats, Jake and Kristina. May we all find relationships as deep (and creative) as yours.

#4: Most Giraffe Tattoos On A Shoulder - Daniel Fowler
When we launched URDB in November, 2008, one of the first submissions we received was from Daniel Fowler of Perth, Australia. Fowler set the record for Most Giraffe Tattoos On A Shoulder (1).
Two months later, in what was easily the most surreal moment of 2009, Mike MacDonald of San Diego, California stepped up and beat Fowler’s record by getting three giraffes tattooed on his shoulder during a live taping of the 91X Morning Show.
Just when we thought the story was complete, Fowler did the unthinkable: he raised the roof by getting three more giraffes tattooed on his shoulder.
Is this story over? It appears not. We recently contacted Fowler, who told us he’s been getting “a ton of emails” from people threatening to beat his feat. Until then, Fowler, you remain King of Giraffe Tattoos. We salute you.
